How does this fest work?
Once you sign up you will receive a confirmation that will include three different songs that you'll use to create a fic. It's up to you on how you do so, be it from the lyrics, the mood the song evokes, or even the music video (if it has one).
Do we have to use all three songs for our fic?
Nope! You can use only one or all three, it's completely up to you. So long as your fic has aspects from at least one of the songs, it's accepted.
Can I write three fics, one per song?
If you want to and you have the time to, sure!
Does it matter which fandom I write for?
Nope! This fest is open to all fandoms.
Can my fic be NSFW?
So long as you tag it accurately it can be any rating!
Can we see the songs we could possibly receive?
Sure! They'll be shuffled randomly from the playlist linked at the bottom of this page.
Can we trade the songs we receive if we're unable to gain any inspiration?
Yes, but only once!
What if I chose to create art for the fest instead of a fic?
In that case you'll still be given three random songs from our playlist, but instead of being tasked with creating a fic based on them it'll be up to you to create a piece of artwork. Check-ins will just be asking for a screenshot of proof that you're working on the art, and you'll have the same deadline to submit it as those that are writing fics. If you need an extension, feel free to ask us!
